One among many

January 25, 2013

A little plant
trying to grow
A dancing firefly
with all its glow

A falling leaf
mid-way in air
Two little sparrows
a lovely pair

Some say
Our life is worth
more than theirs

A little ant
making his anthill
or shining silk
or a piece of twill

Some say
are nothing
but timely frill

Some wear this coat
to treat themselves
as the ground
they walk on shakes

To pillar the vanity
Some write reasons
read foul religions
as the world
beneath them breaks

And then there are
some who question
with light sound

Are we really anything
but one among
everything around?

One among
the many ants
They walk
singing a song

One among
the many twill
They twist
and weave along
