Rein in Life!

June 30, 2012

Why Control?
Doesn’t it
Hurt all that,
We are in control of.
Hurt all those,
We control.
Hurt us too?

Something in me
tells me

That
May be the world
Needs no control

It tells me
Faintly though
That
May be we all are
Just
Like leaves
.
Swinging freely,
In the direction
Of our feelings
Enjoying
Every drop
Of the rain
That wets us.
And every ray
Of sunlight
That takes it away.

And when it is time
We break off
And float away.
Going places
Where the wind
Takes us
Settle where it
Leaves us
And slowly
Because it is
So meant to be
Wither away
Into something new

Now that I listen
May be
We need
To let it
.. The world
Hold our hand
And take us along

May we need to
Give nature
A chance
Before we go again
And strangle it
With our fears

Give feelings
A chance
Before we go again
And strangle them
With our thoughts

Why control?
It does
Hurt all that,
We are in control of.
Hurt all those,
We control.
Hurt us too

It’s been long now
May be we
Just need
To let go
And learn
To love again

… If you talk to animals, they will talk to you and you will know each other. If you do not talk to them, you will not know them and what you do not know you will fear. And what one fears, one (tries to control) and destroys – Chief Dan George

May be
We need to
Start talking
To nature
Before we
end up
Destroying it…

the thought is true … may be we try to control too much and lose what we even have …

yes, may be the idea is not to control but to understand and may be when we understand we realize that there was no need of conflict or control..

Beautiful poem and lovely ending. May be we just need to let go and learn to love again.
